Senioritis

Anyone else being brought down?

Last year, as a junior, I was so on task. I took 3 AP class, 2 college level classes, an honors class, and the last year of a foreign language, plus working. I use to make up schedules, and I would spend my saturdays after work getting all my school stuff done efficiently.

This year :/
I'm in 3 AP classes and 3 college level classes. And I honestly shouldn't be. I don't feel like doing any of my work. I've already been late twice and skipped a day. I'm already behind in AP chem, and have already failed a quiz. I am hugely procrastinating. I have 3 college essays due in 10 days, and haven't really started.

I don't know what happened >.<
I think perhaps I realize the unlikelihood of me actually getting into the college I want could be a factor...

Well that’s why you take a comparatively easy schedule as a senior. So you can focus on the important stuff :p

I am late every day to my high school classes (where attendance matters), but never to my college classes (where attendance does not matter). Other than that, no senioritis.

Yeah, but colleges look at your senior schedule, yadayada
Which is why my APs the easy ones, except for one.

Yep, like pseudo-APs. Aka AP Stats.

And AP Psychology and AP Environmental Science and AP Human Geography and AP Economics and AP US Government.

No kidding.
I have a serious case of senioritis, and I am SO, and I mean SOOOOO, done with this school year already.
I don’t even know how I’m surviving everyday.

I’m feeling it too. Before I was focused on getting good SAT scores, E.C.'s, and good grades to get into a decent college. But now all of these things are set. There is nothing more for me to do but fill out the apps and wait. Ugh, it makes me antsy.

I already have Junioritis, which sucks, since I’m only taking 2 APs this year and not yet working, whereas my senior year I’ll probably be taking 7 APs and (hopefully) working. :/

We seniors have to get off college confidential and do homework!

*struggles… Sits back down in chair

You know you have senioritis when…

Senioritis hit me like a *****. I have an essay on Prometheus Bound due tomorrow. I don’t think I’m going to do it.

Haha, homework. What a concept… Oh, you’re serious?

Prometheus is awesome.

Homework lol. I have yet to actually do homework at home.

You’re late the second day of school. The whole second week you come in looking like a hobo who hasn’t slept in a week

^^Hey…you interested in doing an essay? Haha, jk. :p

I’m not brought down by senioritis just yet. I’m still working hard as hell because I know if I slack off now, it could affect everything I worked for. I cannot take any chances.

I’ve always had the worst case of procrastination ever. Let’s hope it goes away this year.

I always have a motto of “it’s better to do a very poor job than not do it all or turn it in late”

English teachers generally give you at least a C- as long as you tried.

AP US Gov’t is not a joke class. We have court cases everyday and have to write judge decisions on them. I would agree with your statement two weeks ago. Now…heck no.

I remember I studied for a test the first time last week. Other days, I would just watch tv shows and stay up till 12 and complain that we have too much hw. I guess we really are senior citizens.
