<p>I hate to break it to you guys, No Ivy is a safety. No top public school is a safety out of state. Berkley,UCLA and UVA are not safeties even instate for certain majors. UMich is boarderline saftey for engineering instate. CMU is not a safety unless you know profs well there.</p>

<p>The border determining the south is different in the midwest. The Ohio River is the border but in the east the Mason-Dixon Line divides the south. This is from US history so I think it is believable. Oh yeah I live on the east coast so it's supposed to be a paradox.</p>
