Getting off topic, would you believe I have a friend who commutes from Frederick to Bethesda every day for school (G'Town Prep if you've heard of it)?

Clemson University
University of South Carolina-Columbia
University of South Carolina-Spartanburg
Winthrop University
Penn State University
Penn College of Technology

Well, I want to go to South Carolina for some various reasons. First, I'm tired of the weather up here in Philly. It can be nice at times, but I prefer a much more warmer atmosphere. South Carolina is on a close latitude like Bermuda, where I was born and lived, so it seems close enough.

Second, my boyfriend is down there now. He's starting his sophomore year of college.

Oh I know, I've visited down there before. I went to the Clemson University campus, and stayed in the Greenville area for a few days. Also was in Anderson for one day.

I still have no idea. I want to do English (creative writing), but my dad wants me to do business. So, I'm thinking international business with a minor in German, but I'm really bad at learning languages. :(

mrsandmani, I don't know if I should even humiliate myself in that manner. But if you really want to know---1260 or 1890 SAT, 29 ACT, 5 AP Eng Lang, 5 APUSH, Co-Editor-in-Chief of school newspaper (this year), other journalistic involvement, hardest courseload in my school, 3.9, 8/139, okay/solid ECs, nice variety of club involvement, National Honor Society, work experience, 100+ volunteer hours.

So you can see why I feel ssooooo inferior to all these people on here. But I've learned so much here, so I'm going to stick around.

I actually won't be rejected from La. Tech and LSU, I will recieve a state-scholarship offer (called Tuition Opportunity Program for Scholars, or TOPS, where you can get so much of an LA college free if you get a certain ACT score, do so much high school work). Centenary College in Shreveport is trying to convince me to apply, they've called me and emailed me, but I'm not going to a school of 800 kids! It's nice to feel loved, though. At least some school wants me!

You're applying to Ann Arbor, are you in-state? I might apply there as a reach school. . . it's very well-rounded and a great public university, which is what I'm looking for (though you should hear my English teacher say, sniff "Well, SOME people want to go to large, public universities where they're just a number, but, you know, liberal arts colleges are really the best education available.").
