what does it have to do with a mature freshman girl? i figure they're both immature, hence i don't get what the big deal is.

random thought: Why isn't it "freshman dating seniors", that way or this way, each seems to put a bit of a slant on the thought. I think "freshman and seniors dating each other" would be more objective :-P

LOL. Your post gave me quiet a chuckle.

Anyways, we don't have many freshman<->senoir relationships, but there are a bunch or sophmore<->senoir relationships. And most of these are marching band people.

But I do know this senoir who asked my friend, who's a freshman, out. She declined.

ok is it just me or does 4 years seem like such a huge gap when your in high school, but when your in college or when ur older it is not that big of a deal?? I agree than seniors and freshmen are like total diff species. the freshmen are usually immature and over reacting to stupid things... and seniors.. we're tired of school and want to get away from the preschoolers if ya get what i mean. I know of seniors dating soph and jun. but freshmen?? nope. There is this one girl in my grade (senior) who dates 8th graders.

^of course thats how it is.....age becomes less and less of a factor as you get older....how weird is a 32 year old dating a 36 year old? Not much at all.

I know a senior girl who's dating a freshman boy. I find it very odd, but he's more experienced than her, and she's very timid, so it almost seems like he's the older one. There was also a boy who graduated last year who dated an 8th grader and two freshman his senior year. I never knew him to date any girl who wasn't at least two years younger than him. A little creepy, I think.

Seniors dating freshman is pretty sketchy, regardless of the circumstances.

It's true that age becomes less of a factor as you get older. It's fine if a 47 year-old dates a 40 year-old, but it's disgusting if a 19 year-old dates a 12 year-old.

try 12 years apart

exactly, wrathofachilles!!!!!!!

"It's true that age becomes less of a factor as you get older. It's fine if a 47 year-old dates a 40 year-old, but it's disgusting if a 19 year-old dates a 12 year-old."

You mean a 17-18 year old dates a 14-15 year old.

there is a girl (snr) who is dating a frosh (guy) yeah its kinda weird... but he is like tall and well built (5'10) and she is like short (like 5'4) but still.. knowing that she was born in the 80s and he was born in the 90s... is kinda weird....

*btw just to add... there is a 10 1/2 year age gap between my grandparents... so when my grandma was like 6 and like playing dress up or playing with dolls my grandpa was like 16 1/2 and was driving!

the maturity level is about 2 years different between guys and girls. as in, a junior guy's maturity level is at about the same level as a freshman girl's maturity level. so a senior guy and a freshman girl is a little off that mark. just what my h/s psych teacher told me

well your psych teacher is a gender biased jerk. How exactly does one quantify maturity? Whats the standard deviation on that, maybe the average maturity is great for women but theres more severely undermature women than men. I hate silly, baseless, meaningless statistics like that :-P

well considering supposedly girls mature faster and at 18 guys are progressing to become mature I'd figure they'd cancel out.

"but he is like tall and well built (5'10) "

That made me happy! You called 5'10 tall!!!!

frankenchris1, quite the statistician, aren't you? ;)

Anyways, thanks everyone for all your input. The range of input is nearly exactly that of my school.

I was with a sophomore a while back and got sooo much **** for it. I'm a young senior (17, 18 in October) and see no problem in dating a 16 y/o sophomore. Dating a 15 y/o freshman wouldn't be weird to me either if she was mature, but I would never do it because I'd feel like a freak and a half.

thats pathetic. i would rather not have a gf at all

Well compared to my height (5'3.5) being 5'10 is tall (trust me i know, my best friends... who are younger then me of course... are 5'9, 5'10, and 5'11!)

well..Im 17 and im dating a fetus...BEAT THAT!!
