Seniors, do you feel motivated to study for your AP exams?

I completely forgot about them..until today. So i might as well start studying T.T

Also, does anyone feel like their teachers are giving too much tests and homework. I have 5 tests next week...all on the same day ..***

Lol, AP exams are the only reason why I still show up to class. I need all the college credits I can get.

I think I’m only taking 1/4 exams…

i’ve only signed up for 1 AP exam. my school does not require us to take the exams after taking the class, and my colleges do not grant credit or placement for some of the exams, or in the case of physics and calc i don’t want placement. why bother and stress?

My school requires all of us to take the AP exam. We actually get fined for not taking it, because the school district covers the cost of the exams for us anyways.

I think I’m only going to study for Calc BC and Stat because the credit is actually worth my while at the college I’m going to. However, my college doesn’t give any credit for US Government and I don’t plan to take Spanish there either, so it’d be pointless to get a 5 on those two subjects for me.

Yes, I did not wast $258 dollars to not study for them. That is the only motivating factor.

I’m a little upset that if my school’s policy is that if you fail to take the exam, you get the minimum passing grade (65). -___- it’s basically like paying for your grade (IMO)

oof. 65. brutal. AND you have to pay? that seems just wrong to me.

I know, but as a relatively small school, my principal finds that it helps a lot in the “rankings” to have it show that 100% of students take the AP exam, even if 99.5% of those students get 1s. -__- I wouldn’t even mind if they had to pay for it, but given the meager preparation for the exam by teachers, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that I have to shell out 258 bucks so that the school can look good.

Like last year, our bio teacher got through 19/57 chapters, and I had to prep like a crazy person and was one of the few to get a 4. I was very proud given the circumstances :D

:D honestly, our counselors discourage us from taking AP exams. but it really is wrong to make students take tests, pay, and then not prepare them well. yes, you can study on your own, but you should at least have covered the majority of the material in class, you know?

My school makes us take the exam. And we have to pay for it. I honestly couldn’t care less but since I’m paying…might as well put forth a tiny bit of effort.

Seriously. Plus my school is making us pay 115 bucks per AP, and I’m taking 3…again…ARGHHH

Why so expensive??

^
weird. it’s 85 here per. but still -__-

AP test fees suck, and telling my parents I need $300 to pay for some ******** tests that may not even give me college credit is going to be no fun.

I’m so sick and fed up with school that I’m honestly considering just not taking any at all this year, but then I’d feel like I’m giving up (and I am not a quitter by any means).

My school doesn’t offer AP classes until senior year (actually, it does offer ONE) so I always felt like I’ve missed out on those AP exams. So I think I’m going to sign up for everything this year, which is like only six exams, if I ever get those AP fee waivers approved.

Probably will fail all of them though.

“Also, does anyone feel like their teachers are giving too much tests and homework. I have 5 tests next week…all on the same day”

No, I feel like we don’t learn anything. My classes are so behind right now in everything.

I applied to British schools, and got an actual real condition from Cambridge. I have to get three fives, and Psychology doesn’t count (I guess even they figured out that it’s a joke).

But I know I will fail BOTH Physics tests, and since Psych doesn’t count, that means I have to actually study for the other four.

gonna start studying three weeks before the test
i trust my brain

Not gonna study.
i trust my brain

Hmm. Am I gonna study for my AP tests…I think I’ll study for maybe a month for Bio since I can get some college credit if I can pull a 5. Gov and Lit…not so much.
