<p>Since the UT austin admission deadline is 12/01, do senior grades matter for those who are currently in the top 7% after junior year? I will be a senior and my class rank is approximately 4%. If my grades slip and I drop out of the 7% (unlikely) in the first semester, will that have an affect on admission or honors programs? Plan to apply for college of natural sciences and business.</p>
<p>It will not affect you general admission to UT, but many honors programs require you final transcript and resend admission for a drastic decline. Just keep your nose to the grindstone. Not sure what the basis of the question is…ie, are you burnt out and want a break or are you concerned about a particular class, etc. Just remember once you get to UT, that attitude has to change.</p>
