Seniors: how do you have any motivation at this time of year?

Like I have a thesis statement due tomorrow, and AP Econ and physics tests tomorrow, but I haven't started any of them. Everyone always talked about senioritis but I didn't think it would be this bad >.>

I like A’s. GL.

I still haven’t gotten accepted (or rejected) to most of the universities I applied to. Which keeps me somewhat willing to get good grades.

It’s weird, even though I have no motivation, I still force myself to make good grades. When will this year end?!?!?!

I don’t. I still do work but it’s mostly in study halls or really late at night. I just don’t care anymore and it bothers me a little. I should ammend that, I have a little motivation. The top five at my school get to speak at graduation, and I am currently fifth, with ranking stopping after the third marking period. My grandmother is coming up for my graduation from NC and I want to be able to speak if she’s going to be traveling that far. So I will try to keep my grades near their current level in the laziest way possible.

I agree with tbs8569, I have no motivation but I just force myself to get the work done. The only thing in the back of my head is that I still haven’t gotten into my top choice college yet so I need to keep my grades up.

^ agree with tbs and redsox. i haven’t been accepted to my top choice school so i just try to motivate myself to keep the grades up. notice, “i try”.

Yeah I’m the same. I’m fine with keeping my grades up but it sucks when my health starts to suffer because I don’t start homework until 12 or 1 am

I seriously have no motivation whatsoever. My grades are slipping; this is bad @_@

I’m in IB, so I don’t know if I get my diploma until I take my IB exams at the end of the year. Therefore, in order to REALLY graduate, I need to pass those exams, which means working hard now.

I don’t…just dropped a class today ;)

I don’t. I’m just too proud not to get A’s in such easy classes.

I was seriously considering dropping half of my classes second semester. lawl. and self studying for any AP tests I desire to take.
The only thing keeping me motivated is the fear of having a college admissions rescinded. darn you second semester!
second semester of senior year should not exist

I just do most of my homework at school nowadays during lunch or whenever teachers give us an opportunity to start on homework. As long as I’m paying attention in class, I can also get by without doing too much studying.

i dont, i am barely hanging on with mediocre grades, i dont think i have done homework seriously without bs’ing some stuff for about a month now. i just try to absorb everything in class and cross my fingers for the test.

My motivation was superhigh first semester (high enough for straight As), but now that second semester has started, I just… idk. I just want to sleep and watch TV. :/

Enough I guess

ah, the joys of college
it’s infectious

I think I’m starting to give up on working hard now, but I shake my doubt and tell myself this.
“You’re a senior in HIGH SCHOOL, and you’re slacking because of an excuse that it’s you last year. What if you’re a senior in COLLEGE? Would you do the same?”
Then I just get back to work, wanting to prove that I’m not lazy.

If God wanted me to be motivated now He wouldn’t have made me a senior.
