Seniors, to how many schools did you apply?

<p>I know the competition is steeper than ever. Still, I was surprised when a friend told me today there were numerous students in this year's senior class who had applied to 30+ schools. (My d is a junior; she hopes to narrow down to 5 schools).</p>

<p>So seniors, just curious, to how many schools did you apply ?</p>

<p>10 schools (1 safety, 9 reaches haha)</p>

<p>Two Early Action and six RD.</p>

<p>1 but that's because I got in ED. </p>

<p>I have another friend who applied to 2 and one who applied to 17.</p>

<p>1 ED (Columbia, accepted), 3 UC's (Berkeley, LA, Irvine), 3 Privates (Dartmouth, Boston College, USC), and 1 CSU (Cal Poly). I had a bunch left over, which I filled out but waited until I heard from Columbia to submit, which saved me a ton of money.</p>

<p>Lol, I applied to like 4 schools. 2 were safeties, 1 was match, and 1 was reach. I just didnt see the need to apply to so much schools. They are $50 each.</p>

<p>This one girl at my school applied to 15 and I thought THAT was crazy.</p>

<p>I did 8: 2 safeties, 3 matches, 3 reaches
That alone felt like a lot.</p>

<p>3 safeties - UW-Madison, Minnesota Twin Cities, and Pitt
2 reaches - Wash U, Northwestern</p>

<p>...I wish I'd applied to a larger variety, maybe some smaller schools...</p>

Got into my safety, match and 1 reach early round.</p>
