I feel so badly for my room mate…i’m definately indicating that i’m kind of really disorganized, which is weird considering im a germ freak and am really anal when it comes to school stuff (like if my notes aren’t all written in the same color and brand ink i’ll rewrite them)

@Aero Hahah!! Yeah, guys and girls are two worlds apart. Spent a weekend in a hotel with friends. The girls’ room was ok, but they guys’! The smell! The mess! The food everywhere on the floor! We were only there for three days. I can’t imagine actually living with that.

@OP The Northeast is awesome! Why would you want to leave the best region of the US?

What I’m looking forward to:
-New frontiers of knowledge
-Parties
-Dorm life
-Dating/Hooking up with chicks
-Friendships
-Possibly joining a frat
-Infinite amounts of freedom
-Good times
-Drinking (I’ve managed to stay sober throughout HS. It’s time to let loose next year!)
-College marching band (Specifically, college drumline)
-Football, basketball, and baseball games
-Nights out on the town
-Traveling
-Participation in intramural sports
-Prepping for med school

NOT looking forward to:
-The MCAT

Ehh I’m so tired of the type of people I’m around and want to experience a new part of the country. Ideally i’d like to meet some southern gentlemen haha. I can’t blame it on the weather considering my top choice is notre dame, but from my experience people are way more friendly outside of the tri-state area (im from LI). Plus I want to lose my LI accent eventually since I think it’s gross

I’ve lived half my life in the northeast and half in Texas. I have to say I prefer Texas. But I think it’s a good idea to try other parts of the country while you’re young. There are advantages to every area!

@tennis625 Oh, I see! I wouldn’t mind meeting some Southern Belles myself Hahaha

And by LI, do you mean Long Island, NY? Then the tri-state area you’re taking about is NY, CT, and NJ? Sorry, but being from the Philly area, the tri-state area to me is PA-DE-NJ lol

I’ve only really applied to big-time sports schools. I can’t wait to go to football games and tailgate on Saturdays.

Same^^ Penn State, UDel, UMD-College Park, Temple, OSU, UGA, UMinn are all schools that I’ve applied to/am applying to :D

Yea Long Island lol but pretty much same here @shabang some of my friends think it’s stupid but I refuse to go to a school that doesn’t have good D1 athletics bc I’m a huge sports fan which is why I told my parents even if I got into the ivied I applied to (penn and Cornell) I wouldn’t go there

Football Games, Baseball Games, Boys, Parties (I didn’t mind this at first but at my overnight I went to a party so I can’t wait!), Classes that I have the freedom to chose, Road Trips with my best friend-

And, being all tourist-y with my best friend I live in NY but I want to do the whole Thanksgiving day Parade, xmas Parade, New Years in Madison… Yeah lol

Leaving. I hate where I live. I want to actually be in a place that has seasons.

Amen to that, wigglechoo ! Where are you from ?

I’m looking forward to being back in the continental US, cause my family moved to a tiny island 225 sq miles in area. Also, SEASONS !!!

I’m just excited to meet new people, really :)

Being on my own. No parents to whine about every little thing. Parties. New friends. FREEDOM. Better classes. Growing up. Getting AWAY from seasons.

New people, more freedom (although I have a decent amount right now), a fresh start, new environment…maybe even…SNOW, theatre, decorating my dorm room (lol), interesting classes, no more classes at 7am!!!

To the people wanting to see snow… You will soon come to hate them.

Sent from my LG-VM696 using CC

What’s wrong with snow !!! I’ve never seen snow :D

Eh, it just depends on the person.

Some of us are better suited for cold, while others are better with heat. When it gets “cold” here, I’m seriously in the best mood. When we go up north, I’m so much happier, I’ve noticed. Other people like the feeling of the hot sun in 90°.

guys, seasons suck lol. It’s only december and I’ve had 6 inches of snow, and bipolar weather.

Seriously for you guys coming up north for college, look into allergy medicines! I use Allegra from March to like September…

It’s December and still 85° outside. Wanna trade? Lol.

I am definitely not a fan of the cold. I’m an August baby, so I love the heat and lots of it! But since I’ve lived in the Northeast for my whole life, I’ve come to the point where I can’t live without it. I like seasonal changes
