College apps are over. No more summer programs to pad your application, or volunteer work for community service hours. You have three months to enjoy your final summer at home. What do you do?

I have one goal this summer: watch every movie, play every game and read every book I never had the chance to experience throughout high school. I am missing out on an extensive repertoire of masterpieces, and I have one summer to experience it all. Of course, I'm still planning on doing my usual 200 hours of community service, traveling with my family, possibly interning and partying up with my friends (ie having a life), but I really feel like there are some novels or films I absolutely need to experience and I have all the time in the world. I can't wait.

Of course, I'm sure everyone else has something equally significant planned after graduation. What are you doing this summer? I won't judge you.

To be honest, I have nothing particularly significant planned for the summer. I guess I’ll just be trying to enjoy it and spend as much time with family/friends as possible before I leave for college.

I;m doing an internship teaching underprivileged minority tweens to better prepare them for HS. Oh yeah for being a good person even after college apps are over.

Actually, the pay is dece and it’s fun.

We’re renting a house in sag harbor for a while at the end of the summer, so I’ll be at the beach then.

Hanging out with my family and friends, maybe getting a summer job if I can find one at a non-food service place (bad experience). I’d love to work at a book store or library… I’m such a nerd. Haha. Buuut… I’m taking a gap year abroad next year, so I don’t actually start college until the 2011-2012 school year. :P

Would be cool if I made the Chinese IMO team to compete in Kazakhstan this year. I doubt it will happen, but I can always dream! But if I don’t, I will probably find a job and make some money before coming to the States for college. :)
