Hey everyone, I'll try to sum everything up pretty quickly.

Started out at community college fall '12, and took 12 credits both semester my first year but failed 2 classes total. Fall '13 I took a light semester (9 credits), made up the classes I took then got my GPA to a 3.09! I just sent in my application to a State University over the weekend and I think I should get in with over a 3.0.

This spring semester I originally had 12 credits for full time, and was told a biology class I had enrolled in would count, but on the last day of add-drop I was told that was not the case and even if I passed this class I would have to go back and take the class before it to move on. Right now I'm struggling in a philosophy class and I don't really think I can get anything higher than a C-.

The whole transfer thing is stressing me out, I'm worrying about my current grades, I've been working more, and some family stuff that's really beginning to freak me out (dad lost his job and might have to sell his house in the spring). First do you think a 3.09 should get me into a state school as a transfer applicant, and will dropping my philosophy class affect my admission to the college I applied to? If I drop the class I'll obviously get a W on my transcript, and I will only have 6 total credits for this semester...
