Sent in scores already, but got a higher score?

So I've sent in my counselor forms, teacher recs, transcripts, ACT scores to my schools. I sent them in in mid-December. However, I retook the ACTs in December, and my scores have only been available now. I improved my score, so should I resend in my ACT scores to the schools? I didn't improve it by much, just one mere point though. Is it worth the effort to resend them in?

I would. Why not?

You should definitely send in the new scores. Colleges will replace any older score you’ve already sent with the new higher score.
