I can’t imagine why the PO returned it, but if explain it to your local Tufts admissions officer (and perhaps back it up with the envelope showing the timely mailing) I can’t believe there will be a problem.</p>

<p>But typically, letters of recommendation can’t be faxed. There’s no security in that. Contact the admissions office–phone them, or email your regional admissions rep, as 3point7student recommended you do. They’ll probably just tell you to resend.</p>
<p>I’ve recently received a couple of Christmas cards that were correctly addressed but traveled the nation before they arrived here. On one of them, someone had written “Moved. Forward or return to sender.” I hadn’t moved anywhere.</p>
