My D took SAT physics test last Saturday. She put MIT as one of recipient. Since college board will send all SAT and SAT subject scores together, does she need order SAT score again from college board for her application? She also sent her ACT score to MIT before. In this case, which score (SAT, ACT, or both) will MIT use for her evaluations?

Let's say you took the SAT in June and October. When you mark MIT to receive it for October, they will get the Oct AND June one.

When SAT sends scores, they send all of your scores on their score report, so MIT will get both her October and her June scores. If you choose to send her ACT scores as well, MIT will use whichever set of scores is higher - her SAT I or her ACT composite. She still needs to take 2 subject tests, one in math and one in science, in any case. You mentioned that she took physics already - hopefully she took math I or II so she doesn't have to spend another Saturday morning taking tests!

Just to confirm:

1) All her scores will go to MIT. Nothing else needs to be ordered (unless she hasn't taken Math L2 yet).
2) MIT will look at whichever scores are the best.

Thanks all.

My D will apply EA and she didn't send her SAT I and SAT II (math II and Chemistry) scores before. Oct SAT II score will come up on Oct 23 and also take 1-2 week to get MIT. Is it too late for EA?

No, even November scores are fine for MIT EA and don't need to be rushed. October scores are just fine.

MIT starts reading applications as they're received, but a missing SAT score will be noted and waited for; decisions don't start being made until about the first week in December.

Molliebatmit, Thank you very much.
