Sent SAT scores

ok I'm a noob and didn't know much about the college application process. so i took the SAT I 3 times and each time, i sent my scores to the schools i'm interested in. However, my first two SAT scores were absolutely horrible but because i've already chosen to send it to them, they were sent.

So I was thinking of resending only my best scores (like the critical reading score from the first time + writing score from the third time + etc.) to the same schools i have sent my multiple bad scores when i send in my common application. Could I do that? and will it affect my chances because i've also sent my bad scores?

I'm just REALLY confused about this SAT official score sending so if anyone can enlighten me, it's greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

This happened to me as well. I was unaware that a few colleges were already in motion to receive my SAT scores regardless of the score I received.

My first test was not the score I wanted, however, it has already been sent.

I too would like to know if this will hurt me significantly.

Oh I am so glad I’m not the only one who made this mistake! :D

^^^haha don’t worry
I got a 1960 the first time (590 on CR!!) and dumbwittedly sent to Cornell, and some other big names that I can’t remember right now lol

I don’t think a 1960 is anything to worry about. But thanks.

You can’t officially send only a sub score - you have to send the entire test. Some schools will “super score” and use the highest scores from each section. Some do this for admission, but not scholarship. Others - only take the highest score from one sitting.

You can choose not to send scores when you take the test - these are the four free scores. But then - if you wait - you have to pay for each school.

All the posts, all the school websites - say they will only look at your highest score - either from one sitting, or a super score - based on their policies.

I wouldn’t sweat it at this point. Just make sure you have a good safety and match on your list.

I made the same mistake… Stupid me, when I signed up to take my first SAT I, I listed the 4 tops schools that I wanted to apply to. They now have my very bad scores… lol
