Hey I need to know how to study vocabulary. I have a long printed list of direct hits but its so dry and the meanings are sometimes even more hard to understand any advice on how to improve on sentence completions since i lost 100+ points from them on my May SAT. I have about a week till november SAT.

Also I was wondering if I should take Jan. SAT if I don't do well on my november SAT, I am a senior atm but Idk if colleges will accept my jan sat if i retake since the deadline passed.

Underline key words in the sentence and infer your own answer word before looking at the choices.

I agree with SimplyBMW

@SimplyBMW, that piece of information is so so so valuable. It doesn’t even apply to sentence completion questions alone, but to everything on the exam! PBR, WR M/C, Math, everything!

It’s so much easier choosing a choice, when you know what you’re looking for. BUT, if you look at the choices, before you know what you’re looking for, you fall for an eye-catcher (a choice that looks nice but doesn’t answer the question asked correctly).
