WFBanker08: you should be good to go. most people will pass the phone interview. i think my phone interview went even worse than you did. my interviewer just said “ok thank you good bye” and hung up! haha. after my phone interview, they said i would hear back in two weeks. but i heard back in 2 days. you probably won’t have to wait a month to hear back i’m guessing. good luck!

pvtcho: You should be fine. Once they start interviewing you, they won’t even look at your background. For my in-person interview, they didn’t ask me a single question about my resume. Just keep yourself updated on financial news and practice your cases. Also, do you know people that got into the HK program already? When did they find out?

Anyone hear final decisions on HK? the suspense is killing me! haha

Congratulations man. You bring hope to me (one who has not received a request for a phone follow-up after the in-person interview).

Good luck to everyone. Are there any other obsessed people out there that keep checking these boards or refreshing their emails everyday in hopes of seeing SOME kind of SEO message?

Oh how I wish they would just let us know now! This is even worse than waiting for college admissions (as most bb ibanks take few if any non-ivy leaguers).

JMIONE1: Did you interview in DC or NY, I don’t think I had the same interviewer as you are. Also, you said you’ve got no follow up call. Did you know if anyone got follow up call( I mean anyone applying for IBD NY and interviewed at DC).

Oh, forgot to say, congrats congrats congrats~~~~~great job!

Can some of the guys that have either got in and/or done the in-person interview provide some tips for the rest of us waiting to do our in-persons?

Almost like a checklist of what we should do to prepare?

Shuava I interviewed in DC for IB NY (I mention NY to not get confused with HK). To your other question, I don’t know anyone else applying to SEO.

My view of the follow up phone interview is to select from people they have not been able to make a final decision on.

Meanwhile, have you decided whether to accept the offer? Did they tell you which bank they will be placing you? Just curious how’s the whole system function…

Can you share with us, when did you have your in-person interview, where are you applying for(NY or HK)?..just wanna get a feeling about how long is the waiting time between inperson and another call

Hey honeybunny…I’m in Boston. Did you already interview for corp finance? If so..can you give me some pointers? I have some friends who interviewed during the round that u did (Nov 16-18) and I don’t believe that any of them have heard back yet, but I can check.

Hey BlackIvy, there were two interviewers and they were very nice. I got all fit questions and a couple market questions. It was about 25 minutes. Don’t worry about it, they weren’t intimidating at all, but know the market well! so your friends haven’t heard back yet, heh, that’s longer than the DC people.

I’m an ec concentrator, so no real finance knowledge. They asked why corporate finance, what do you think they do? why seo, go through your resume and activities. tell me about the current market and your view.
I haven’t heard back yet, kind of nervous.
