<p>You said you would accept today, so is it a verbel acceptance??? Or is there some legal paperwork coming in the mail??? or does this happen in January for you??? I’m worried about SEO messing things up (not with giob700) but just in general since if they gave me an offer and i accepted, I will be on the sidelines all spring when IBs are recuriting, and since you’re not commited to a specific firm I would just like to have some hardcopy of the agreement.</p>

<p>The deadline is 3 Jan. I was called and then sent an acceptance letter through e-mail saying:
“Completion of these forms will indicate your official acceptance of our offer by your Enrollment Deadline Date, which is 1/3/2008. After submitting your completed Enrollment Form, you will receive your firm assignment early in the Spring.”</p>

<p>Thank you, specialmeat62 and to the rest of you. Make sure to stay abreast of the markets and to know EXACTLY why you want to go into AM, and specifically why institutional/private bank. In later interviews, I was asked to create a portfolio of $50,000 for a young and old investor and to explain my general strategy for each. Also, during the last follow-up call, be sure you can recite the avg. dividend yields of the following securities: Google (tricky), Wal-Mart, T-Bill, REIT, and those in the S&P500. </p>

<p>-great learning opportunity (seminars, stuff outside internship)
-networking, making lots of new friends
-want to contribute and help others step into banking</p>

<p>thanks giob700, this should go a long way in preparing for the interview! I feel better already. I almost did not apply to the program because I thought sophomores have very low chances of getting accepted, but I figure if I don’t get it this year, next year i will be a miles ahead. Fingers ( and toes! ) crossed!</p>
