oh...it was easy...I guess you still have time to turn in your transcripts then if you haven't done your phone interview...take your time

where do we check our status online? Do we just log in to our account or is there some special link?

Yeah how do we check status in the application system online?????? All mine says in application and all materials have been submitted successfully

Hey dpa38d2u, there is no need to feel bad. I know for a fact that most kids at Wharton don't know 90% of what they're talking about. Its really just part of our 'education', which involves developing a finesse to talk as much bull as possible. And carrying a backpack is perfectly cool, because you're a student in college, and not a seasoned wall street banker.

And as for your interview, the SEO known for their very un-wall street style interviews. In fact, the pitching point an SEO representative made at a career fair we had here was that you get to interview people and ask difficult questions. Honestly, which type of people works for the SEO? Certainly not the Goldman, Morgan Stanley ibanking type, but the wall-street rejects. They only try to make you feel bad because they're already failures at what they do, and so seeing you with your promising potentials, they try to bring you down to their level. Don't get discouraged, and I highly recommend you applying online directly via the company website and your school's career service as opposed to the nazis at SEO. :)

Do understand that the SEO is itself an organization with a serious inferiority complex. So don't be discouraged by them.

I know its really close to the deadline, but I had a few questions about the essays.

Did you guys answer them like your college essays? Or were you very direct and straightforward?

I made mine direct and straightforward

~Goodluck!

diaspianist...I'm not sure if that is a good representation of SEO...I definitely thought my interviews with Goldman and ML were somewhat easier than my SEO interview...and SEO is a competitive, well respected program on Wall Street...people who work there are also not wallstreet rejects...for one thing my interviewers worked on wall street for about three years before they joined SEO...and I know another ex SEO program manager who got work experience on wall street before he joined...and I I think I can safely say that most of them actually do...

but I totally agree...dpa don't get discouraged...my two friends who got offers had interviews which were far from perfect...so certainly don't be discouraged...good luck though...

No news for me yet. =) Judging from previous posts, I reckon a rejection will come tomorrow.

I was interviewed on Dec 14th at 9:00 (Well, it was actually at 10:00am) by Nicole and another nice lady. (Anyone else here get interviewed on the same day? Let's friend each other on facebook.lol)Their interview was so stressful and I totally freaked out.

I was asked: "how many table tennis rackets were sold last year in China and "33 * 29 in your brain." (and What is your way of giving back to the community)

It did not go that well but not a disaster either.

Tips for the others:

Do research about SEO.

Remain calm throughout the entire process. (I was sweating like a water fountain)

Talk slowly (ITHINKTHECOMPANY'SSTOCKISSSSSOVERRPICED <- what I
sounded like during the interview =( )

Now: Is there any hope of receiving positive results tomorrow(23rd)?

I dunno---we can only hope and pray

man i feel like those stressful days waiting for decisions on college scholarships again... watz gonna happen to meeee T___T

Praying..Praying..
trying not to think about it now.. which is almost impossible

Umm no sense in praying. I am almost aboslutely sure that if you haven't heard by now you're a dead reject. Oh well maybe next year.

you guys are way ahead, relax .....

I just submitted my application :D

well...I choose to positively wait (even though I said the dow closed at 17,000 in my interview- hehe~!)- please whoever gets the e-mail in their inbox about accessing decisions online first should please let us all know-

dpa, how are you absolutely sure--- is that usually the pattern?

I know it's the pattern with college apps but is it the same with seo?

Everyone I know who made it into SEO got a congratulations call several weeks before the deadline, usually the following week after their interview.

dpa is rite. but there's this person i know who got called in the few last days. i'm not sure if it was the very last one thou. well, guess the SEO dream is over.

im too late now heh.

hey guys, should we start a new thread abt regular internship programs of individual companies? i have an interview coming up this friday. anyone for citigroup?

hey yuki,
did you let seo know that you got an interview from citigroup?

I heard this could help your candidacy...
