Are the admissions for LSA and Honors separate? If so, does Honors also check senior year grades, or do they assume that if you're fine with LSA, then you're also fine with Honors. Coz otherwise, what are the standards that must be maintained to stay in the Honors program? I'd assume the standards will be higher than regular LSA. Coz right now I have 5 APs: 2 As, 1 B, 2 Cs, so I'm pretty worried.

Yeah, admissions for LSA and Honors are seperate. I don't know if they check senior year grades, though...

3 Cs, a D, or a F triggers grade review. But your advisor in honors will see your transcript down the road.

for the honors program.. they do review the transcripts that uce sent to LSA.. admission to honors can only be done after uve been admitted to LSA.. they want the best students from LSA to come to the Honors program.. Honors app also requires an additionall essay (800-1000 words) on one of four topics given my the Honors committee..
zhong.. dont worry about the honors.. it just adds to your resume which is already boosted with your admission to LSA.. and + ive heard that one can enroll into the honors program after the fresman year as well..

I'm already in the HOnors Program. I was admitted before first semester grades came out. I never had Cs before so I'm worried, especially if the Honors program will rescind admissions for 2 As, 2 Cs, and 1 B (all APs). And there's only one quarter left, very little chance to improve them--- all quite solid

then its fine.. these grades wont let you down.. once you're in.. YOU'RE IN.. there arent any conditions attached..

You mean, the Honors Program won't review grades again? That's a relief. I mean, I guess I wasn't expecting to get rescinded from UM altogether. But I know the Honors Program has higher standards than regular LSA; I'm Out of State, so if it weren't for the honors, I really can't go to UM.

thx
