Do you guys think math was easier or harder than the june test?

Wishing -1 in Math is a 36 and a -2 in English is a 35

I think I missed around 5 on the Reading :/

@DJFlash
I think math will be -1=36, english will be -2=34, and reading might be -5=32

Think I probably got a
35
34
32
36

:)

But if that happened, I would be hella pissed I didn’t get a 35 lol

Hey guys, can you help me predict my scores?
E: (-1-4)
M: (-2-4)
R: (-7-10)
S: (-2-4)
Essay: 10-12

This is my first ACT so im hoping I can get a 32+, if its lower than a 33 I am gonna retake.

@biggestsunsfan I’m in a similar situation. I’m guessing you got
E: 32-35
M: 32-35
R: Around 30
S: 32-34
Sorry it’s kinda a big range but it’s really hard to tell. Hopefully you get over 33!

I think I got
E: -1-3
M: -2-4
R: -3-4
S: -4-5
Hoping for 34 but idk if that’s possible…

@fireonice thanks!! Good luck with your scores!

Can someone predict my scores?
E: -0
M: -1
R: -8
S: -8

Predict my scores please
E -6
M -2
R -7
S -4

We can probably predict the Sept 2014 curve from the June 2014 one.

Here’s the June 2014 curve:

English

72-74
71

Math

49-50

Reading:

38
37
35-36
34

Science:

38

37

35

34

The general consensus on CC (<a href=“June 14 2014 ACT Discussion - #166 by nbph216 - ACT Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/act-preparation/1651543-june-14-2014-act-discussion-p12.html) was that English and Math were crazy hard; however, there was also a double passage in Reading on that test as well, yet people said the Reading test on June 2014 was easy with the exception of some timing problems.

It seems that on the Sept 2014 test, people agree that Math was harder, but not impossible; reading was very hard; Science was hard; English was easy.

The English curve is never harsh, so I think it will probably have no curve.

The Math curve on this test will probably not be as generous as that of the June test, but it should be similar.

I would hope that our Reading curve looks like the June English curve, but Reading rarely has generous curves.

Science curve is almost always harsh regardless of difficulty.

Am I allowed to ask if anyone remembers what the science passages were about (not specific questions of course)? I just wanted to jog my memory because the whole science test seems to have been wiped out of my memory…

^Just list very general topics!

When is the earliest we should start checking for scores?

@fireonice - I had one about androgen and cell receptors, one about leaf decay, one about light reflection/absorption, one about mechanical cars and measuring their speeds, and unfortunately I can’t remember the others I had. Hopefully those 4 help you though.

@micmatt513 thanks! Wow when I first read your post I was like “what?? I didn’t have any of those” and then it came back to me! Guessed I focused so much on the specific questions that I didn’t remember the general topics.

There was one about chlorophyll/stress/mesh in science

I do remember a few others now that I think about it. There was one section including a chemical equation and batteries which asked about electrode potential. There are a few other hazy sections, so I’ll see if I can remember them in a few minutes.
