sept act hard?

eritas thats what i put

that makes me feel a lot better~ i just started reading the passage when the proctor called 5 min and i panicked and filled in rest of the bubbles. then i tried to go back and sort stuff out. i only skimmed over student 3 so i didn’t know whether or not i got it right.

yep that’s what I got too

i thought the passages were more enjoyable on the september one then on the june ACT. the math was eaiser then expected, the grammer easy as usual. and the science was brutally hard, the only one i got right for sure was the one with the chroloplast (which is not found in human cells) i think that was the ACT board’s way of making sure no one got every question wrong >.>

what letter was that eritas

hopefully theres a nice curve
:)

it was K, the last choice.

hey eritas
do you remember the order of the bubbles for the last section of science?

i thought reading and english section were easier than normal for me. math was the hardest that i’ve taken. and science was the same as usual.

i had trouble with the last section so i’m prob. not the best person to ask for the order of the bubbles. but hey, anyone else who is sure on the last section know the order?? I kinda want to know how many i guessed correctly.

does anyone remember if the chloroplasts one was b/g

I don’t remember what the answer was, but I know I picked chloroplast only… I believe that was B/G.

I thought math and reading were harder. Gosh, I hated that highway/toll passage on the reading section. lol One passage on science was tricky.

sweet… haha for some reason i was brain dead during that question and the info was not in the reading… that confused me and instead of using my knowledge i blanked hhaha

so i just put b/g i think… or at least i hope

guys how do u retain all the information in the reading passages? cuz im use to taking princeton review practice tests, and there passages are a lot shorter. and bam, when i took the real one, because each passage was like 1.5x longer, i couldn’t finish in time, and I really did try to read as fast as possible lol. so do u guys just read the whole passage then answer the questions( i would imagine that would be quite hard cuz u dont remember all the info and u have to refer back which wastes time) or do u guys look at the questions and then skim the passage (PR technique)? cuz seriously, i dont know how u guys read so fast and still get questions right especially the HOV HOT passage, which was just filled with information.
i dont think there is a problem with my comprehension, but there is a problem with my speed. i also found out that it is easy to spot alot of the answer easily and many can be answered by common sense, but yea any hints?

im not gonna lie… something just clicked on this reading section

on all previous ones im just like… f this and i do horrible
try reminding yourself that like it or not colleges look at your score a lot… good gpa will only get you to the top 30 or so colleges and if you want to brake into the best 30 your scores have to be good at least 30+

dont read the passage except for the prose… just go straight into the questions… no retaining needed.

Dude that test was intense…the math was a bit harder than the others
the Second reading part on the traffic was harder than the rest
and the science just destroyed me

Yeah this test wasn’t how I expected…When we first started, outside was really loud so I couldn’t even concentrate…People yelling outside the window and other classes were still giving instructions and we didn’t even close our doors. So English was just “technical” difficulty.

Now Math…I don’t know what’s up with that I always score around 32-35 with about 5-10 min to spare when I finish on practices. And here I didn’t even goof off and I had 5 questions to go when time was about to be up so I just picked LoD. It was a disaster…The questions were really really long.. Like there would be maybe 10-15 long questions on the practice, and here like 80% of it was really long problems…

For Reading, I thought it was okay.

For Science, it was a bit of a woozy, but it wasn’t too bad.

Overall, I thought math was extremely hard…and I hated my test environment, jeez I hate my luck.

math was hell for me. I skipped over a lot and couldn’t finish the last five, and guessed on a lot of others. I just put the middle answer for the ones I didn’t know or didn’t have enough time to read. Was it just me, or were a lot of the math answers the middle answer? That’s why I chose that one for all the ones I didn’t know haha.

English and Writing were pretty good, but then again those are my strengths. Science was okay. I’m not particularly confident about it but I definitely did better on it than on math. The essay question was stupid though, about what teachers should do about tardy students? It was exactly like elementary school standard testing essay prompts. SAT has better essay questions, to my experience. But then again this is the only time I’ve taken ACT.
