September 2011 ACT Discussion and Socres

Scores are up.

I got a 37. Quite disappointed.

@potato- I did, forgot what it was for though

i cant believe the most common trig identity (cos^2(theta) +sin^2(theta)=1) was a question, i feel like they had 59 questions so they just threw that one in…easiest one by far

6.1 for one of those table exchanges with PA + PB

@jd989898 what letter choice was the right answer?

I thought that test was harder than the June one. I thought the math, in particular, was WAY harder. I’ve been scoring 30’s consistently on practice math sections, but I probably didn’t get that on this one.

I’ve gotten a 32 composite the past 2 times. This’ll probably be the third consecutive 32. Aggh.

Maybe, if anything, I can bring my combined English/writing up to a 36.

Also, science was… annoying.

What is everybody hoping for?

F. so i missed the 1st science section? dammmmmmmnit. i did NOT do well on science. if my act composite score gets raped cus of science i’ll be *ed.

what about the science question where it asked which was x and which was y for naoh and the citric acid?

yeah not just the y = 1 question was easy. they also asked for the area of the parallelogram in the 40’s

NaOH was the x, citric was the y. it was initially blue, which meant it was basic.

I think I got a 36…on math, I wish it was composite :'(

@circle22 I honestly don’t remember. I tend not to remember questions that require zero thought processes. I remember looking at the 1 and it might have been in the middle of the answers like B C or D but that’s about it…

For naoh it was blue because of it’s high ph. For citric acid it was pink (or something) because of it’s low ph.

The answer for the sin^2 + cos^2 was 1, correct?

okay StanfordCS i AM really annoying, it’s true! however EVERYONE ON THIS PAGE IS A STRESSED IVY AIMING STUDENT SO YOU AREN’T ANY BETTER!!! :P

was that shaded circle question on math 5pi?

I have a feeling the science curve will be VERY forgiving, math and reading will be average, and english will be slightly harsh.

EDIT- bvfor4- yes it was

for that one about citric acid and NaOH and changing to blue pink and yellow was it NaOH first or Citric Acid first?

It was indeed 5pi.

yup. i got 5pi for that one.
