It didnt ask for positive and negative effects. It asked for any discussion, however brief, on the economic aspects of lace. The last paragraph briefly discussed how the production of lace changed and the price and the paragraph before that, as syndekit said, discussed a bit on the fisherman’s income related to lace, all of which are economic aspects.

I am sure it asked for positive and negative effects. That’s precisely the reason why I chose that the economic impacts of lace were never addressed.

It did not ask for that.

I discussed that question with some people after the test. Almost nobody even considered the answer choice “the economic effects of lace were briefly mentioned”

The people I talked to said they all put “not mentioned” also

Well, I guess they all got it wrong. You were probably thinking the passage solely discussed the history of lace (I did at first), and did not see the economic aspects mentioned in the passage. At first, I put “not mentioned,” then I specifically saw places were economics was mentioned in the passage. It’s definitely “briefly discussed.”

Seriously, how can you say that the variation in the production and price of lace as well as it’s affect on fisherman’s income is not economic at all?

If anything, it was probably one of the more difficult/tricky questions in the passage.

I also remember there being “effects of lace” in the question.

I’ve never taken the ACT before so I really don’t know how long scores usually take to come back. My proctor said to expect our scores in 5 to 8 weeks which is waaay longer than I thought it would take. Does anybody know how long it usually takes for the scores to become available?

The scores will be available on September 26 at 12:00 A.M Central Time (ACT office is in Iowa so that’s a logical time) and 2:00 A.M Eastern Time. Still debating whether to stay up until 2:00 A.M on Sunday night to check my score.

Wouldn’t that be 1 am?

1 a.m EST you’re right. I dont know why i thought 2 a.m. And i checked back to the april act scores thread and it did come out at 1 am est, 12 am cst.

I only have to stay up until 11.
Don’t know if I will, though. I need my sleep.

im stayin up for sure. I am in the midwest, so I only have to stay up til midnight. biggest test of my life! Who needs sleep?

haha i’m gonna be in europe when the scores come out. i’m gonna be six hours ahead. but i’ll still be asleep lol.

I can’t believe it! That question about y=x, what is the slope of a line perpendicular to it? I HAD -1 at first; but then I got stupid and put -1/x because I was thinking about negative reciprocals and totally forgot about the whole coefficient thing. Oh yuck!

Holy mess! I am so nervous! I can not wait until the scores come back. Nevertheless, I am still taking it Oct. 22nd. I want at least a 34.

Hoping for a 30!! Math screwed me over though.
Thought English and reading were easy.

I’m just going to do what I think I missed.

English: 5 MAX.
Math: Probably sixty.
Reading: I’m not sure.
Science: It wasn’t too bad. Maybe like 8.

English: 3 MAX, ~50% chance 1 ~25% chance 0
Math: 94% sure 60
Reading: 3 MAX Possibly 0 wrong
Science: No idea LOL. If I had to make a range, then 0-5 wrong.
