34C with 34 in all sections lol
probably going to retake to see what happens especially because I know I can do better in English
no harm done right?

Just tallied all of the scores that were posted in this thread:

36: 2 people
35: 14 people
34: 15 people
33: 14 people
32: 7 people
31: 4 people
30: 2 people
29: 4 people
28: 2 people
27: 1 person
25: 1 person

for those of you wondering, i’m from sf bay area. most of my friends got their scores, but one or two haven’t yet.

@Hawkace that’s a nice bell curve… a little to the right

@Hawkace Were previous ACT threads like this, too? Also, I got a 35, if you want to add it to your tally.

I got my scores today. Kind of bummed, but I guess I’m okay with it.

C: 35

E: 35
M: 35
S: 35
R: 35

@ClassicalCollege ya im so sorry that sucks

@nbph216 haha, since I assume you are being sarcastic, I should probably explain that this was my last time taking it and I was fairly confident I could manage a 36, but I didn’t so I naturally felt a little disappointed. (I’ve taken it 2 other times).

when do essay scores usually come out? specific days anyone?

Bro exact same situation as me except my 32 is in reading

I got a 33 again, man. 3RD STRAIGHT TIME (At least I got a writing though this time ) Science screwed me over and I have no idea how.

34

30

It’s SO CRAZY. I thought I had gotten a 31 in Reading and a 36 in Science. I just don’t understand how I could have missed 5-6 questions in Science. I want to see what I missed, but I can not, and knowing me, I probably made some very silly mistakes such as completely skipping a section.

I got a 32 first time. I think I am going to retake in October to try and get a 34 or higher. Any tips for how to get higher reading and science scores?

32 Composite:

34-English
35-Math
29-Reading
29-Science

Same boat as you. Try to read as fast as you can but be sure to read the questions and the passage simultaneously. As for science, screw science lol

@hawkace Those are pretty skewed to the right! I’m almost certain that the mean score for this act test is much higher than usual due to their unnecessary HUGE curves.

Or maybe people with higher scores tend to be more willing to announce them. Voluntary response bias doesn’t imply anything special.

Why can’t the ACT be like Collegeboard and release all scores at once? 8-|
BTW, I am from the SF Bay Area. Did everybody get their scores already?

“Due to an unforeseen technical error, the release of September ACT scores was slightly delayed. All scores that are ready for release have now been posted to student accounts. The next score release will be Friday morning, according to our regular schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.” - actstudent.org

Nope, none of my buddies got theirs. I did though. 35 composite

We should also consider the fact that people on CC are generally high-achieving students. I looked at some previous posts about act scores, and a majority for the scores were 30+. Ricordea also makes a really good point - I doubt that everyone that sees this post is willing to comment their score.

C:35
E:35
M:35
R:33
S:36

I’m really worried about the writing section. How important is the writing score to colleges? I’m very happy that I was able to pull off a 35 but I don’t want to have to retake the whole test due to a low writing score. I tried writing a lot (like 2.5 pages) and with neat handwriting so should that help?
