What do you think the September 2015 ACT curve will be like? I thought the english was harder where as the math was normal and the reading and science was harder. Any guesses?
I thought the english reading and science were incredibly easy but struggled a lot w/ the math. interesting that its the opposite for you!
The math was super hard for me. I flew through English and reading and science was quite difficult.
The math seemed insanely hard, seriously hoping for a high curve. Science seemed way easier than April 2015.
No one thinks reading is hard???
Reading did seem a bit harder I was pretty pressed for time on the last passage and had to guess.
The math was easy for me, but the reading and science were difficult due to time.
The math seemed much harder than practice tests, and more SAT-like. The English seemed a tad harder, but still easy to me. Reading was fine, and Science was slightly harder than practice tests, but not too terrible (unless they keep that stupid 2pts off per 1 question missed). I liked the writing, and having 40 minutes was a godsend. Overall, I think this was a normal, slightly difficult ACT, with the exception of math, whose curve will be great or scores low.
English: easy
Math: hard. And I’m usually a math person
Reading: Totally ran out of time and couldnt focus. had to guess on 5 questions on the last part.
Science: Didn’t seem too difficult to me, but the knowledge based questions kinda irritated me because I’ve never had a science lesson in my whole life
essay: I couldn’t come up with great examples and would have loved to write much more but ran out of time
overall: disappointed with my performance
You guys need to remember that there were several test forms given out today
@rjp456 aren’t they pretty similar? only with questions in a different order?
otherwise it would be unfair…
@rjp456 I thought US territory and Canada are given the same test form; other places must be different cuz of the time
English: Average
Math: Extremely difficult (hoping for a generous curve)
Reading: Average
Science: Average to slightly easier
English and Reading were easy for me but thats my strength. I though math was hard, which is normal for me, but science seemed harder than normal. I’m usually pretty good at science and had no trouble on it last time I took it, but this time it really tripped me up.
The last time I took the ACT, I thought the math was the easiest section and ended up scoring highest on that section. However, I found some of the questions in the math section on this ACT to be quite difficult and all my friends who also took the test agreed. English, Reading, and Science seemed fairly easy. Do you think there will be a larger curve on the math section if most people do poorly on it?
English - normal
Math - unbelievably hard
Reading - harder than usual
Science- easier than normal
Overal very disappointed in my performance. I got a 28 last time and was hoping for at least a 29. I got a 29 last time in math and know I did absolutely terrible on math like 25 ish, and my 34 on reading will definitely go down. I really wish I could superscore because even though I struggled I think science and English may be better
english - normal?
math - idk… maybe little generous than normal?
reading - normal
science - normal
i honestly dont know because i was too busy answering each question to think about wow this section was hard lol…
English - Normal.
Math - Harder - I ran out of time!
Reading - Normal. One of the passages gave me a bit of trouble, though.
Science - Harder. Struggled a bit with this which was surprising since I did the best on this section when I took it in April.
Hoping to go from a 29 to a 30-31. We shall see!
English- super easy.
Math - more difficult than usual. I got stuck on 3 questions for 20 minutes but I realized I was being stupid and eventually got what I thought was the correct answer. There were no questions I guessed on.
Reading- tad more difficult than usual simply because of the time and the type of passages that were presented.
Science-Little harder than usual. Weird concepts and lots of text. Definitely the one I was most unsure about.
@ktmccarthy5 same! Did you remember that on the Apirl test if there were only 6 passages? That is what I heard. I don’t remember tho.
