I have atleast 3 practice tests left for the September ACT. I want to know what else I can do to increase my score other than practice tests. I'm trying to get in the 29-31 range and right now I am at a 27 currently.

There’s no magic in getting a higher score. Just take as many Practice tests as possible, and prioritize studying on the sections with the lowest subscores.

Should I take a practice test the week before the real ACT? Thanks

Yes, take a practice 2 days before the test. If you miss anything figure out why and make sure it doesn’t happen again. The day before the test, don’t do anything. Just relax and watch some TV. Make sure that any tasks for Friday evening are completed before 5 o’clock after school so you can relax for the rest of the day.

2 days before the real one? This will be during the school year so I won’t have time to do it on a weekday. I will also have a football game the Friday night before the test too.

I took two practice tests the day before the ACT and got a 32 :P

I guess I’ll have to take it on labor day because thats the only day off from school that week.

Do some form of ACT practice everyday for 2 weeks before the test and I’m positive your scores will improve. Try spark notes and the like for extra test material.

I checked out sparknotes already. Is there any other websites out there like sparknotes?

Thank you lesley!!!

Well, answering correctly a greater portion of the problems may help. Think of it this way. All the answers are there on the test: you just have to find them. Practice helps a lot; however, reviewing mistakes helps much more than does practice alone. Learn how to find the right answer and be sure and accurate: be meticulous…

I feel like I can do that with every subject besides reading. Reading is by far my worst subscore. I know that the answer is there, I just can’t find it when it comes to reading.

@nellyI have the same situation lol, I also have a football game on Friday which probably isnt the best idea of something to do before the test

haha mess around and get a concussion
