i guessed C (or H) for all 3 of my guesses LOL

me too but i whittled down my answers for both my guesses and still ended up with c. i felt like i chose c a lot more than 20% of the time, even without the guessing

But then you might guess wrongly for all of them. If you guess one letter then you will probably get at least a couple right.

HOT and HOV crap was ****ing me off but i got it done, just took a little extra time. I truly truly hate science. O well what's done is done, and I'm not gonna take it again, I got a 28 last time with much less preperation and I don't wanna go through that whole process again.

RahoulVA, you don't understand the concept of independence. Each answer does not depend on the previous one. There is a 1/4 (or 1/5 for math) chance you get the answer right regardless of which choice you select.

Therefore, you'll get about the same number right whether you guess randomly or guess all As. This number is the expected value. If you guess on 8 problems, you'd be expected to get 2 right whether you guess randomly or guess all As.

I thought the test was hard. June was definitely easier and I was really surprised at the science section (I can usually do it with ease, but not today.)

English: not too bad...I can't complain...maybe 2 I had a little trouble with.

Math: A joke...I didn't use a calculator on the June test and it felt easier then than it did today with a calculator! I honestly think the calculator held me up. I shouldn't have reached straight for it for every problem.

Reading: This was when I started to get REALLY tired. I could hardly keep my eyes open! It was easy, but I was reading so slowly that I had to put it in overdrive at the 10 minute mark! I could have done better I'm sure, but overall it wasn't too bad.

Science: Uhhh...where was the BIOLOGY??? I know that one about the leaves was about bio, but come on, I wanted some cellular biology!! Again, I was reading so slowly (I was even more tired) that I had to skim the last passage during the last 5 minutes! Overall, moderately difficult...definitely could have done better.

Writing: Haha...I know I had good style, diction, sentence structure, etc., but it was very elementary--nothing that I would hand in for school. (I think my proctor called time about 1.5 - 2 minutes before the test was complete...oh, well...I was finishing up anyway.)

By the way, did anyone else notice that there were two of the same answer choices for the one that had congruent angles as answer choices? It was at the bottom of the page (left-hand side); I think #41ish. I don't know, maybe I was seeing things, but I could have sworn that letters "B" and "D" were the same.

(Oh well, there's always October! Good luck to everyone!)

do you guys remember if that last column in the science question had a couple of B's? or G's too i guess.

yea i thought it was that too
but one was referring to congruent angles, other was congruent triangles
i think that the correct answer was that the triangles cudnt be congruent because they didnt have corresponding angles/sides

arent the forms different? my last passage was fighting scientists
yea i remember getting a few in a row for the last column
was the last question that it is slower bcuz it uses more energy?

yea they're not congruent traingles, it was pretty obvious. the one on the bottom was iscoseles and the angles for the other parts of the traingle weren'y 90-60-30

I think they tried to trick us into wasting alot of time at the end of the math section right?

Oh...that makes sense. I was rushing anyway, so I probably didn't read each answer choice carefully. Thanks for pointing that out to me!

yea...they definitely tried to trick us at the end! I thought the easy questions were supposed to be first and the hard last, not the other way around!!

quoting Trinitrondel,
there is basically no way to up your chances in multiple choice
it is too random

if you choose all of the same letter for 5 guesses, u're bound to get at least one if not more wrong because i have never seen 5 of the same in a row on any test in my life

if you choose random letters u have no idea if they DID have 2-3 in a row (which I did see on this test)

so i guess random = random :-D

I have taken ACT twice before with very dissapointing resuts.

This time though I feel I did my best ever on English AND Math. 30+
Reading I did very quickly so I was scared of time but I'd say 26+...28 is my highest in that.
Science:-/ I was doing fine up until it! Hardest ever out of all 3 of my tests, all my practice tests, etc. It was brutal I thought. I guessed on SEVERAL and didnt even understand 1 whole passsage. It seemed like outside knowledge was necessary this time around. Guessed on wayy to many but im crossing my fingers

can i still get 30+ even if i think i bombed the science?

yay another science 'bombee'..do you guys know if they curve these tests??

i actually thought this ACT was pretty hard

did you have to convert ml into L in the caffeine problem?
cause that would require some outside knowledge

OMG THAT'S exactly what im talking about...they gave no conversions ..i was like ***?
that whole passage i failed...that one was like woah and ididnt understand the math quetsions for that passage
i couldntr remember if mL was bigger than L lol

theres 1000 mls in one L. that is the answer.

wait, i'm confused i said 250ml is 1/4 of a liter..uhh wrong? i don't wanna think right now.

ya there are 1000 ml in a L

so i was lucky i remember that haha

ak i put that too..but it was total guess.
science depressed me when i got to it...everythingelse for me was fine until that **** came:-(

ya the 1/4 i right

i believe it was A
