hi,
I have and undergrad degree in management, but have always had the urge to pursue a career in an art related or creative filed, after having worked in an art studio for the past 3 yrs, i'm definitely sure i want to pursue a career in sequential art(comic art). as there are no colleges or schools that offer such a course in my country, i will be applying to an art college in usa.
At present i'm considering Kubert School in Dover, New jersey. They specialize in teaching sequential art. i was quite sure of kubert school being my final choice until i was told they not rank very high and SCAD would be a better option.
Now I'm confused whether kubert school would be the right decision. As they are willing to take me in for there semester starting in September 2011 (which is barely 3 months away) and i don't not wish to make a wrong decision as the fee are quite steep once converted from my local currency.
Could some one please help me out and suggest if Kubert School is a good school for sequential art?

If you live in New York, ill recommend Suny Purchase.

Yes, SCAD is one of the top ranked art schools, but there are lots of others too. RISD, Chicago Art Institute, MICA, VCU, and SUNY Purchase is excellent too as the above poster mentioned. Here’s the threads related to art:

Post this question there and you will get lots of great advice from the real art school experts (I don’t know enough yet, but am learning!)

I would most defiantly consider SCAD. I believe it has one of the only sequential art masters programs in the US. Good luck with your decision!
