Serious Application Problem...

I know it's pretty last minute but I submitted the common application portion to Princeton today and I realized, after submission, that I had accidentally checked the BSE degree instead of AB. I do not intend on pursuing the BSE degree, but since I accidentally selected it, I have to complete a mandatory supplement question...which means I cannot actually submit the supplement portion of my application until I answer that question. I have no idea what to do now, and I am most definitely panicking. I am such an idiot, and I most definitely should have been more careful!

I emailed admissions, but they are probably swamped with emails at this point. I'm planning on calling them tomorrow; they will be open tomorrow, right? I'm extremely worried because tomorrow is New Year's Eve, but the application is due the day after tomorrow. Will they be understanding enough to change it? To accept my application....because this isn't a technological glitch or anything like that; it's completely my fault.

The admissions office won’t be open until January 2nd.

My daughter did a same mistake and so emailed last night.
Below is what my daughter received from admission office.
“Dear Student, Because you have already submitted your application, you will need to complete the engineering essay in order to submit your supplement. We understand that you may not be interested in studying engineering, so please use this as an opportunity to let us know what academic areas you are interested in studying and why you would like to study them at Princeton.”
And she followed this instruction and will submit the supplement essay soon.
Hope it helps you relieved. :)
