Serious ? - Best Food Options at Schools

what schools suck
what schools have the best food
?

Cornell and UCLA to start you off. You can also go to Princetonreview; they ranked colleges according to best food.

^^ are good? or bad?

Northwestern has pretty good food

Boston U's food was Damn good.

I believe that James Madison is rated #7 nationally, and #1 amoung public schools. My son enjoys the food. BTW, this was important to him. When we visited a couple of schools and he found the lunches kind of poor, he told me that he could never face that food day after day. I don't blame him.

yeah bentley had a really gross cafeteria when i toured it

best: connecticut college
worst: uri

You might also want to think about whether you can deal with a school that has only one cafeteria. We visited 2 of schools with only one cafeteria (or at least where the meal card is accepted). I know that I would really dislike that, especially if the school is rural and getting off campus is a big deal.

Bowdoin's Food is ranked #1

Cornell has been consistently ranked among the top few in the nation based on several different poles. Some huge food magazine (i forget the exact title) ranked Cornell has #1 in the country in the overall category and #1 according to the individual dining hall category (the award went to North Star Dining Hall). On campus, there's 8 "all you can eat" style dining halls and something like 14-16 "pay per piece" ones. Cornell dairy supplies all of the milk, cheese, and ice cream.

I live about a 30 minute walk away from the closes dining hall (I'm off campus), yet I still signed up for 7 meals a week at Cornell. Well worth the walk!

different polls*

Sorry, I meant to say good food. Cornell and UCLA = very good food.

UCLA food is unstoppable. The dining hall food is actually worth the line-ups.

Purdue's sucks.

Colby's food is great.

that shouldnt matter in your decision...

flgirl- for some people it does. for example, i'm a very picky vegetarian, and it would be horrible for me to go to a school that only offers pasta or cheese pizza as its meatless entrees. when i was looking at schools back in the day, it was very important to me whether or not the school would accomodate for different diets.

Imagine Lobster whenever you want!!! Wow.

But like another person said... this is very miniscule in the grand scheme of things. Who cares what food there is? Go into town and get something. You should only eat once or twice a day anyways if you want to stay at a good weight/fitness level.

WPI, Holy Cross, and Umaine are spectacular

How is Embry-Riddle's (FL) food?
