Serious boy ballet dancer - how to navigate selective school admission?

My DS has danced ballet seriously for over a decade. He doesn’t want to be a professional but he would like to dance in college. He is aiming for high academic. What is the best way for him to reach out to dance departments and are there schools where this would be helpful to him in his application process? Thanks

There is a dance major forum here on CC, which can be helpful to non-majors as well.
For example: Good schools for double major in dance? - College Majors / Dance Major - College Confidential Forums

Does he want a double major or major/minor or does he want quality extracurricular dance? Focus on ballet? Does he do any modern or contemporary, or musical theater?

He can do an arts supplement with video(s), dance resume, and letter(s) of recommendation (1-2) related to dance, work ethic, working with others etc. etc. This can be very very helpful, including at top schools if he has talent and accomplishments documented in the supplement.

If not doing a BFA or majoring in dance, he might thrive more at a school that does not have a BFA since the best resources may go to those students. Look at the Harvard Dance program as an example. Dance Program | Office for the Arts at Harvard
