Serious Concern: please help.

Hey, I applied ED to Cornell and I guess I'm a little bit nervous and very concerned about the possibility of getting accepted or rejected.. (I'm not sure at all..)

I visited Cornell and loved the school. :)

So, here are my stats, and try to be honest so i know where I stand.
I am applying to CAS and majoring in psychology.

Also, I am considered an international applicant because I came here to US 7 years ago. I am not a US Citizen or a green card holder.

SAT Score:
One-Setting: 2000
Best Scores: CR 680
Math 730
Writing 680
Total: 2090 p.s) Does Cornell look at the writing score? or just CR and math?
Just CR and Math: 1410

SAT II Scores: (Cornell takes 2 best scores rite?)
Korean w/ listening: 800
Math Level 2: 690 (taking it again tomorrow)
US History: 670
Biology: 500 (taking tomorrow also.)

GPA: Weighted: 4.12
Un-weighted: 3.81

I took 3 aps last year, currently taking 3 AP classes and 1 Honors this year.
In total of all 4 years of HS, I have taken 2 H, and 6 AP classes.

Extracurricular-

4 years of marching band (alto sax section leader)
(almost 1000 hours of community service from just the marching band.)

2 years at bay crest, helping out the sick elderly

2 years at a hospital

Multicultural Club 2 yrs (Secretary/Co-president)

Band Together Club ( 2 years)

Peer Mentoring Club ( 2 years)

In total, I have about 3000 hours of community service.

I think I wrote a very good essay about how I came to US and how that impacted me.

I think the letters of Rec are all very good.

Thank you so much, and please help me calm down. :)

Your SAT scores are a bit low for Cornell, your GPA looks decent, community service looks good, other ECs pretty standard (but decent), SAT iis are okay... but not great. Are you from Korea? I don't think they think it's as great if you can ace a test in your original language, but I guess it's okay.

If your essays and recs are stellar, you have a shot.

How are the SAT I's low? His CR 680 and Math 730 are above the averages for last year's accepted class.

anyone else??

em personally I dont think your chance is very good.. since your ECs are not that spectacular, and your SAT is not that high either. And I heard the EC and the grades are the most important things in college app. But Dont get discourage by me, I m a little pessimistic about stuff, and I have not much clue about things myself. So I guess you should concentrate yourself on SAT prep.

who are we to decide...we're not adcom...

personally i think anyone who goes on this forum deserves to be accepted b/c that means we care..simple as that lol
