GMU and VCU

thoughts on the schools and such

know anyone that went there? alumni, current students?

what do u like and dislike about these schools that u go to

S visited VCU, we are in NOVA so GMU is almost next door. VCU is very much in the city of Richmond. You will want to like living in a mid-size city. While Richmond overall could be described as a bit run-down, the downtown has improved a lot over the past 10 years and VCU is pouring a lot of money into the area on and around campus. GMU is very much suburban with a well-defined campus, and DC is easily reached via bus and metro. Both are large schools. VCU is excellent for sciences and has a big emphasis on internships and similar work experience. GMU is excellent for accounting. Both schools seem to have good engineering departments. GMU has a better basketball team  You really need to visit both of them before you decide. Good luck.
