Serious issue regarding application

Hi,

So I've just applied to a school, only to find out the school requires 3 years of a foreign language, and I have only taken two. It was an honest mistake I just missed somehow.

I meet the schools GPA, SAT, and extracurricular standards by a large margin.

Did I just waste my time and money on applying to this school or is it possible they will look past it? Also any advice on how I can go about this would be greatly appreciated as I'm freaking out.

Thank you.

If they require 3 years, then, well, that’s what they require. If they just recommend it then you still have a chance.

What level did you reach? If you for example took french 3 then you should be covered.

There’s hope if you took Native Speaker. I took a couple of years of Spanish NS (did not know what I was doing in that class, but–you guessed it–I passed) and was surprised to see that a year of NS counts as 2 years, so I had 4 years under my belt.
