no one at brown has

I am another who has never had an alcoholic beverage...I also do not enjoy hanging out with people who do drink....at every school there are the people that do not drink, it can be a trick to find them however :)

My reasons for not drinking (in no particular order): it's not legal for me yet, and I cannot afford to pay the consequences if I was caught; my parents would lose respect for me; I can't stand not being in control of myself; I hate looking stupid in front of other people; I don't need to drink to have fun; I like my liver the way it is now; I can't afford to lose any brain cells...I need all the help I can get :-)

I also don't drink, and I don't intend to.

My closest experience to drinking was when my friend thought it would be funny to give me one of those wisky-filled chocolate balls. I was 11 at the time, so I had no idea what the hell that thing was; I thought it was filled with perfume. :p

I don't drink, never have, never will, and am damn proud of that!

Alcohol is not a cool thing. It can impair your judgement, destroy your brain cells, ruin that nice car you've got, can hurt yourself and those you love (as well as innoncent folks), and it's the LAW if you're under 21! Did I mention all that work you put into your abs? Gone if you drink--your six pack becomes a beer keg.

On my 21st birthday I am expecting to have a chocolate cake with a nice tall cool SKIM MILK!!! Not only does it cost less, it's better for you--no dying brain cells there plus a little bit of extra calcium.

I can tolerate a social drinker, but I'd never become one. I don't put up with heavy drinkers because frankly I don't want them to do anything that may harm me.

And when I get married, no champagne for me. It will have to be water or something.

i don't, because the taste of it is disgusting.

but champagne is nice as long as it leans more on sweet soda than liquor.

MacTech92: not wanting to drink alcohol, I can understand. But wanting skim milk with chocolate cake, that's just so utterly wrong (1% is ok, 2% is better, to paraphrase some milk ads). And there are many tastier non-alcoholic alternatives to champagne than water.

Yeah, skim milk is just horrible. Might as well be drinking water instead in that case.

I've tried a bit of diff. types, but I kinda hate all of them... And even though I may wanna try some, one glass is max I ever plan on taking. I'm definitely never getting drunk. I've always wanted to try cocktails though...

This thread represents all that is wrong with CC...hahahaha

CC people talking about alcohol is like NCAA football recruits talking about academics.

i agree with cav.

These threads seem to pop up every week.

Number of chicks Bill Gates + you have had: 0
Trump: 2 hot wives

Number of hours both you and Bill Gates spend on computer per day:
Number of hot pockets you and Bill eat per day:
20 and 20

Trump: TV show, fame, actually recognizable.
Bill Gates, and you: countless beatings

Go ahead keep dropping acid, keep eating like John Candy, and keep beating the meat. I guess most of us just have an "alternative" lifestyle.

Ask your mom to steal a brain for you next time and maybe one day you'll understand this post, and break the 4 digit barrier on the SAT (Cortez: Well, its skewed for white people!!!!).

Now go wet yourself like I said you would.

Sparkling grape juice.

You are a tool, however.

I'm a high school senior and will not drink when i go to college next fall. I don't drink because of health reasons and just because alcohol is wierd tasting, burns my esophegous and makes me feel off (physically). Also, i don't need the extra calories. LIke another poster on here, i'm really particular about what i drink in general. I only drink tea, veggie juice and water. On occassion (very very very special occasion) I'll alllow myself to have a frapuccino or a fatty fruit smoothie. But back to my point, drinking is NOT for me. I'll probably be in substance free dorms.

is it me, or does it seem like everyone on this thread who says **** like "i'm never going to drink" is an utter d-bag. please. get on with your lives, get wasted, enjoy college. trust me, ive neve rmet a kid who doesn't drink who ha shad as much fun as a person who has been wasted. you don't do crazy **** when you;re sober, u do them when your drunk. theres nothing more fun to talk about than the crazy **** you do when ur drunk.

get off ur high horses. you all who are so anti-booze are just a bunch of lamers. you don't have to be a hardcore drinker, but saying **** like "im going to have water instead of champagne at my wedding" is the true sign of a total and utmost lamer. get over urself - have some god damn fun.

bullets kill people.

ps - i didn't plan to drink at college...it didn't work

Not that I am against alcohol by any means (in fact, as I said earlier, I do drink in rare occasions), but I find it kind of funny (and a little ironic in some sense) that the angriest people in this thread are ones that do drink.

[sarcasm]I completely agree, Jags...drinking is definitely the only way to have fun in college. Non-drinkers suck the fun out of everything.[/sarcasm]

Believe me, when people throw up all over the bathroom (and in other people's rooms), the busdriver has to stop the bus to kick the rowdy drunkards off, etc., you start to form a negative opinion about drinking...

Alcohol corrupts people.

jags86 - your definition of fun and a good time is subjective, and varies by person. what you consider fun, is fun for you, but not always for others. so perhaps try respecting others view points.

and as for how i feel, well i've drank a few times, and i really don't see anything special about it, nor do i feel a need to get wasted and act like an a** in front of everyone.
