email typos are commonplace. relax – he or she simply ignored it. Don’t bring attn to it. you’re fine.
Yeah, it’s nothing.
Just consider yourself lucky that your email didn’t autocorrect it to “beast” or “breast.” Then an apology might be in order.
There’s a 40% chance the AO won’t notice it
There’s a 40% chance the AO will ignore it
There’s a 19.999% chance the AO will laugh at it
There’s a 0.001% chance you will be rejected
(to be clear, that 0.001% is sarcasm, if a school was to reject you for making a typo after showing initiative by emailing an AO, you probably don’t want to be going to that school anyways)
I mean I laughed out loud. It’s funny and just shows you’re human. Don’t worry about it.
See the Clam Fart thread:

^honestly, that should just be the automated response for every thread that has the keywords “typo”, “rejected”, or “help”
That Clam Fart thread is gold…lol
Seriously, don’t worry about it. Typos happen.
I didn’t get in. Is it because of my typo? I really think my typo aggravated the AOs…
OP, whatever the reason is you didn’t get in, it most definitely is not the typo.
Making a typo is common, very human. Over ascribing its affect on your admissions is stupid. I read probably 100 emails a day. I never notice a single typo. Why? I don’t have time to bother.
I would pity the foolish worker who gets miffed about someone’s typo. That’s how the real world operates. GL w/your school in Sept.
Depends… OP, was it a female or male admissions officer? =))
