Seriously consider Morehouse vs UMich?

Am I wrong? I'm under the impression that Morehouse has some amount of prestige. It has a large amount of influential alumni(past, not so sure about present). It's one of the top feeder schools for elite graduate schools, and a regular target top firms like Goldman Sachs. And yet it's not nearly as selective as its peers--obviously the school knows how to start with less and end with more.

Would it be reasonable to go to Morehouse over UMich if it offered a full-ride?

I'm so serious about this topic. Any advice would be helpful.

Dunno know much about Morehouse, but Umich is a great school. The prob is if you are OOS or not. Anyway, UMich offers a great balance of social/academics which I believe is a great thing. UMich has football, great student body, and top of the line academics. I also heard that UMich has the greatest number of alumni population of any school (dont quote me).. Also, UMich is very well known in Asia and other countries. UMich offers great advicing in pre-med and has a great business school-Ross.

GL on your decision and your future.

PS. If you were offered a full-ride at Morehouse, I might consider that you go there. You sound that like you want to go to grad school so you dont want any debt from Undergraduate studies. It seems from your post that Morehouse is a great school. Umich tutition is alot for anyone to bear.

Hope I helped :P

hokay, Morehouse is prestigious as a historical black institution, which will be good if you interview with someone who is african-american (they will definetly have heard of it). There is also a very strong alumi network at Morehouse (although it is probably similar but bigger at UMich). I wouldn't say its a bad idea, but it should depend on which you'd rather go to and how much the difference is.
