Seriously considering doing a double major when I transfer. Need advice

I am currently a community college student in California that is planning on transferring by fall of next year. For most of my college career, I have been a film major with the goal of working in the film industry, but I have recently become discouraged over what friends have been telling me, they tell me art-related degrees usually have high unemployment rates and it's hard to find jobs with them, but I still want to stick with film because I really enjoy the subject so I have recently been pondering the idea of majoring in a STEM (Science, tech, engineering, and math.) field because I heard those are the most practical majors and just in case my film career doesn't pan out.

I understand it won't be easy nor do I intend it to be. Nothing worth it in life is, but I strive to work towards my goals and one day find something I enjoy doing. That is my main goal in life.

You’d have to find out what the degree requirements are for both majors in your new school. Maybe you do a major and a minor or an interdisciplinary major by combining STEM and Film.
