I applied to the university of pittsburgh about a month ago, sent in my sats scores, and my application is now complete. I know that they don't review applications until Oct 1, but we've my research I fear that I won't even have a chance.

For their school of business
Here's are my stats:

I sent them my resume:

Student Council
Academic Decathlon
Varsity Cross Country
Varsity Track
Summer Swim Team
Varsity Club
Musical/Drama performances
Church Group

Awards:

o 9th through 10th grade
Honor Roll
o 11th

I also sent in an essay about if the university where to pick one more student it should be me...and i listed my reasons.

My big concern is my sat's scores, and I don't really have the money or the time to retake them again just to find out the week that i take them, that i'm only accepted to a branch school.

Your SATs are below the 25th percentile for the main campus, and Pittsburgh considers standardized test score “very important” . That 460 in math looks bad for the B School, too. [University of Pittsburgh - Management Information & Analysis](http://www.ir.pitt.edu/cds/2010-11CDS.php) Here are the links to the common data sets to check over. You’ll most likely get in to one of the others. Sorry. Maybe you can transfer.

You can get some financial aid to help cover the costs of the SAT. Additionally, the time commitment to review some basic concepts is pretty negligible to be honest. I’d strongly recommend you retake them, because your scores are below the national average, let alone the university’s.

Thanks guys! That’s what I was thinking too. I thought I was in the 25% range. How early is early to apply? I’m just wondering if there’s going to be a lot of people before I have applied, and when I could get a response.

Also, i can’t retake my sat’s till the first of october, even if I retake them again and they look at my application and already decide that I should go to a branch, if my scores are better can they reevaluate me?
