Seriously thinking about transferring... can someone help with the basics?

I'm an incoming freshman and i'm thinking about transferring because the college I am attending this year.. wasn't exactly my first choice and when I decided to attend this college, i did so thinking that it was a good choice since i planned to go to medical school, but i'm starting to lean more towards other careers.

As a highschool senior, I was accepted into: UCLA, UC Berkeley, URochester, BU as well as honors for Uconn, Umass amherst, and got waitlisted for Umich, NYU (first choice, didn't do early decision two and it messed me up), and BC..

Right now, I'm really regretting not going to UC Berkeley which i declined because of my premed path (plus financial aid at the school i'm going to was better).

I want to consider transferring for my sophomore year.
As for transfer schools, I want to go to either NYU or USC.. (**nyu is still my first choice though!!!)

highschool gpa: 95 (out of 99.99)
ACT: 32 (didn't take SAT)
extracurriculars: yearbook, tutoring elementary students in flute, math, and writing, rowing, etc...
took 6 AP classes in total, and the rest of my classes were honors classes.
(my gpa during my junior year wasn't that great (92-93) but i raised it a lot my senior year (96) and got mostly 95's freshman & sophomore year)
basically i didn't do anything extraordinary, and was overall a good (but not best) student. i think i was in the top 5% of my class...im not really sure bc my school doesn't rank

can anyone tell me where I should start in my process, and what are the major deadlines? (or at least a reliable website that will tell me everything I need to know)
also, transfers can't be in the ED pool right??

if it would be more help to know what school i am going to attend this fall, i'll be more than happy to message it to u.

Can you afford NYU? That school is well known for HORRIBLE financial aid. Aid for transfers is even worse.

yes, financial aid will not be an issue for me as of the moment. Also, I am considering BC, can anyone help?

Look at the websites for the schools. They will be the most reliable source for deadlines and requirements. If the info is not up yet, hang in there, it will be in the next month or so. Good luck, whatever your path.
