XD I just found this comment kinda funny. You wish you were less fortunate?

Besides, UChicago is a frickin’ fantastic school. One of my friends was accepted (class of '08), visited, and fell in love with it, but her parents weren’t willing to pay the tuition, so she went to a school that she didn’t like as much because it offered her more money. -___- Unless you just don’t like the atmosphere (after all, no school is perfect for EVERYONE), I don’t understand why you want to transfer so badly. It seems kinda like you just want to go to a slightly more “prestigious” school, given your list of transfer options. Maybe you didn’t even give Chicago a chance since you were deadset on the Ivies/MIT? I don’t want to assume. And hey, it’s your life.

To the original poster: I really admire you for prevailing in such an unfortunate situation. No school is out of reach for you; just make sure, as other posters have implied, that you can get enough FA to support you at the schools you really want to attend.
