I'm a Korean immigrant looking to attend one of the service academies. I'm a junior and will take my citizenship this summer.
What are my chances for each academies? West Point, AF academy, Naval Academy

I have 3.96 GPA on 4.0 scale at my school.
SAT: 1780(1st one.. i'm gonna pull it up) 680 Math; 580 Reading; 520 Writing.
I take AP/Gifted/Honors courses.
I rank 51 out of 700.
I have 500+ community service hours.
I have multiple church leadership positions as well as Key Club Secretary position. I'm in NHS, Science NHS, and one other volunteer club.
By end of my senior year, I would've finished the following AP courses: biology, chemistry, human geography, Econ, gov, world history, Language arts, calc bc.. 3 years of Latin and 4 years of orchestra.

Thank you for your inputs and reading this post! :)

All academies will see ethnicity as a plus. GPA high enough, more volunteer stuff needed, but all academies especially the Air Force will see your church background as a major positive.

More volunteer? I did mission trip to Louisiana… I do church officer and churh praise team… Anything else u recommend?

Well, your SAT scores are low for academies, specifically your writing. To secure a nomination you have to be nominated by some congressman, which usually involves an essay or two. Assuming your 520 writing is indicative of your ability to write (which is not always the case, my scores don’t reflect mine) you’ll have a hard time winning a nomination.

I’m going to pull it up like I stated…

Bump.

Can I have some inputs for the service academies? Air Force in particular.
