<p>I am currently working on my application to BC and I was wondering what kind of service opportunities were available at BC, possibly in the areas of education or law. I tried looking on the BC website, but I found it a bit difficult and emails kept showing up instead of information. Thanks in advance.</p>
<p>I have found information on the Legal Assistance Bureau which seems like an interesting option, but I was wondering if there were internships or other types of work available for undergrads. Can anyone provide information on this?</p>
<p>there are a gazillion service opportunities at BC and in Boston. (BC’s motto incorporates service.)</p>
<p>Check out BC’s unique PULSE program; a few of its placements is in the legal area, and many are in education.</p>

<p>Pulse is a great way to involve service into your class work and there’s also tons of other service groups. The First Year Service Program is open to all freshmen, Jumpstart is another great avenue to get involved with educational service, and 4Boston is the largest service organization with tons of placements in a variety of fields all throughout the greater Boston area. There are also tons of other smaller groups dedicated to service with specific goals.</p>
<p>D chose not to go the PULSE route, since there were so many other options for finding service programs (she didn’t want to be tied down to the strict service hour requirement in PULSE). As stated above there are TONS of opportunities for service. D is finding education service opportunities through the Lynch School Senate group she joined. Students can stop in the Volunteer and Service Learning Center to get matched to an opportunity that suits them. There is actually a searchable volunteer database.
