Service Learning TIDES

Hey!
I was wondering if anyone completed their service learning through a TIDES course. I'm currently signed up for a TIDES course that offers an optional learning service component. I was thinking about taking it, and getting it over with. Does it matter with which course you complete your service learning?

I would appreciate if if you guys could share your service learning experiences.

I cannot share any experience personally, I could only relate my D’s. But you might as well get it first hand. I only wanted to say it doesn’t matter which course you are taking when you do the service learning.

My d satisfied SL through TIDES and found it worthwhile. It was some kind of leadership course and I know she worked at a farm that needed laborers.

Can you do more than one service learning per semester?

I honestly don’t think you would have the time. Service learning takes more hours than the standard “3 hour” course. But to answer what you actually asked, as far as I know there is no reason you cannot do two in a semester. However, you would still need to do another as an upperclassman, if I remember the program correctly.
