Session F for Orientation

Hello NYU board, I was scheduled for session F orientation (not on the list) because I was specially assigned this from NYU because I could not afford the plane ticket and expenses of regular orientation. Session F is for international students and those whom could not afford to pay for orientation.

Now my question is, since I am extremely last, will my choice of classes be highly diminished since session A-E gets to go before me, and I wont be able to choose the classes I want?

I am in the same situation as you and when I called they said it doesn’t matter which orientation session you are in, they will provide you with the same opportunity of getting classes you want as the other students from earlier sessions. But I don’t know the validity of that statement.

I wonder if we are going to miss welcome week…

From what I’ve heard, first-year classes are very large and there is no shortage of seats.

Either way, it is your first year and most of your classes will just be MAP requirements at this point.
