I can't believe I didn't think about it before, but is there a set amount of spaces available in the class of 2011? And if so, how many? Becuase I know JHU just can't pick every perfect seeming applicant and admit them- there has to be a limit.

From what I've heard, JHU does not have a quota to meet

Every university has a goal for how many freshmen students they can take in every year. It varies by school but according to the website essentially Hopkins can have 1,200 students start as freshmen at the beginning of September.

1,160 is the set number but I rounded up.
