Seton Hall Class of 2024

Hi, I’m a prospective undergrad for the class of 2024. I have already applied to Seton Hall in August (Now December!) and hopefully will run on the cross country team. SAT 1370, OOS, 3.91 W GPA. Other colleges have threads regarding acceptance rates and other comments about the university. Does anyone know when Seton Hall sends out acceptance letters? Also, feel free to add other comments about the past or current process with Seton Hall and their admission process

just got last night

Congrats! Anyone else?

Not yet. I applied in late September.

My son got his acceptance via email two days ago. After his application was complete it took under 5 days.

Ok, great! When I applied to Seton Hall via the Common App I never received a confirmation email. I applied in late September EA.

My son is in process. His application was just completed a little under 2 weeks ago. He has a 3.0 UW GPA and his SAT is 1040. I hope he will hear something soon.

Did you receive any confirmation email from Seton Hall about receiving the application?

Yes. You should have received an email from SHU confirming the receipt of the application. In the email you’ll be asked to set up the SHU portal.

I never got a SHU email for the SHU portal. I just got an acceptance letter though. The merit and co-curricular scholarships were more than I expected but still more than some in-state schools.

I got in several weeks ago. 3.7 UW, 28 ACT.

How long does it take for them to send the link to the portal?
I applied two days ago

My son received his admission email last week and the official admission packet yesterday. He was admitted to the College of Business and received a total merit package of $96K. We live in NJ.

Acceptance stat share -

  • $109,000 University Scholarship (includes summer scholarship stipend)
  • Applied 10/31, received email 11/5
  • School of Diplomacy & Intl Relations
  • 1350 SAT, 29 ACT
  • Total of 5 AP classes, 2 Jr Year and 3 Sr Year. Remaining classes are honors.
  • 4.27 weighted GPA, I have no idea what the unweighted is
  • Top 10% of his class from NJ public high school

Son was admitted Monday after Thanksgiving EA, University Scholarship 98K plus summer stipend of 4,500 - 102,500 total.

Daughter was admitted with exact same scholarship 98k plus summer stipend of 4500 for a total of 102,500. I still think they can do a little better knowing total cost a year is about 56,000.

My Daughter received the summer stipend as well. Any idea if this has any value really?

Same for my son, and I am wondering what this is, exactly.

Same for our son (102.5). Any idea what the summer stipend is all about? Does is make it less financially burdensome to take a course in the summer?

Yes, they have to attend during the summer in order to get the stipend. Most schools don’t provide merit scholarships for summer sessions.

Frankly, I’d rather they just apply that to his regular scholarship, as summer classes can be expensive.
