Seven Sisters

I am wanting to apply to Smiths college, Mount Holyoak, and Byrn Mawr this fall, but as I am homeschool I am unaware of their grievances towards homeschooled children, and I want to know if it is worth pursuing. I have combed through their websites and have found very little information to go on.
I plan on emailing them, but wish not to be to precocious; I do not want to contact them so soon before admission openings. ( What would be a good time to contact them with my questions?)
My real question is, have other homeschooled children and parents found that they are generally accepting of our education?
I graduated early, and am quite uneducated with this process, so please be kind with your answers!

Hi there, I can’t answer your question about homeschooled applicants, but I can tell you that this is a fine time to be emailing schools with questions!

First, it might be prudent to get the names right. It is Smith College Bryn Mawr and Mt. Holyoke. They are very open-minded institutions and do not discriminate against homeschoolers. Candidates to any college must meet their criteria and qualifications, regardless of where they were educated.
If I may ask, your post has many spelling and grammatical errors. Are you not a native English speaker, or do you have a learning disability? If so, look into their support services to be sure they will have the services you may need.

I am not a native English speaker, Russian is my first language; and I didn’t not know that we had to have the most eloquent of grammar and language in this forum.
Sorry, I spelled the colleges wrong!!! I’m really nervous about all of this!
Thank you for your answer!

Thank you for your kind answer!

If you have any questions about the app process (not international), I applied to all 3 of those this year. Feel free to pm me and good luck!!

You can contact their admissions offices as soon as you feel like. Don’t worry about that. All of these have plenty of homeschooler applicants. It won’t be a barrier for you.

Pntbttr, perhaps your kind offer for assistance will be better understood by mayplesupmoose if you don’t use so many abbreviations (app, pm). She’s clearly bright and knows English well, but even native speakers struggle with all the slang and abbreviations on collegeconfidential.

There is a thread explaining abbreviations
