Should i start writing the letter that i Failed AP Physics now? or should i wait? O_O also... what is the probability my acceptance (if i get one) will get rescinded.... my other grades are A's and B's and my senior year has 3 APs in it... can someone help me with this matter? thanks

Did you fail it or get a D?

I would imagine that failing a course (without the world's best excuse) would almost automatically preclude you from getting accepted to HYPS or any other top-tier school.

Well I got a D in regular physics this semester and I am a senior as well so in order to make up for the grade I decided to retake the first semester of the course at an online high school that should make up for the grade.

i got a D -_-...

"...what is the probability my acceptance (if i get one) will get rescinded..."

It depends on the school.

like Purdue, or the Mid Tier UCs (like Davis, Irvine), and maybe SD? O_O

UC Irvine says one its website that you have to let them know if you have a D or F.

UC Irvine does not routinely ask for fall semester grades or work planned for spring semester; however, if this information is needed in order to make an admissions decision, the counselor evaluating your records will request it. If you have earned grades of less than "C" in any transferable course in the fall semester, or have changed your schedule for the spring semester, it would expedite the review of your application to send this information as soon as possible

It depends on what colleges you've applied to. If you've applied to places like engineering schools, you're probably in big trouble since it's unlikely they'd want a student who couldn't get a passing grade in a course that's essential to master for their major.

what about mid-tier UC's?
